Portrait Planning Session
The first stage of your portrait photography experience here at Jayne Barry Photography starts with a complimentary planning session, either in person or by phone. This is a chance to get to know each other before the actual session. We discuss the types of photography styles and choose the one that you like best and then decide on the clothing that would suit your choice.
At this stage, if you wish, we can also go through the different framing options and photography collections to choose those that will suit your needs and home.
Once you have booked your session a PDF covering everything we have discussed, products and pricing will be emailed to you. Hopefully after your consultation you will be fully prepared for your photography session and have an understanding of what is involved.
Now that we have had your planning meeting I will have a better idea of your session needs and will endeavour to set about capturing images that truely reflect you and your family while helping you to relax and enjoy the experience.
Portrait Design Appointment
About 3 weeks from your photo session you will be invited to return for your design appointment. About 25 - 40 of your best images will have been professionally enhanced for you to view. They are not just images but pieces of art to hand down to future generations.
Collection of Photography
Once your order is placed your images are further enhanced and prepared for printing and framing. Fully finished portraits are ready for collection 2 weeks from your design appointment.
*Some products may take longer as they have to be specially designed and sent from the UK.
This is such a special time for every parent and their new arrival. You will want to have images to treasure in the future as it is also a period that passes so quickly.
The best time to have your newborn baby photographed is between 4 and 14 days from birth. Within that time baby is still sleepy and is easier to work with and pose.
My style is natural, pure and organic; focusing on the baby and all his/her tiny features. I love to use soft fabrics with natural colours and textures. The simpler the photograph the more appealing; so for newborns, I believe less is best and the baby should be the focus of the art we create.
Please leave plenty of time for a newborn photo session as I want it to be a pleasant and relaxing experience for all concerned with time for feeds, changes and cuddles if necessary.
